Offset Atlanta has a T1 line, which enables us to receive files 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

MAC

  1. You must be online to FTP a file.
  2. Compress the files to be transmitted (Offset Atlanta recommends using Stuffit, which can be downloaded from www.downloads.com). If sending multiple files, compress into one file
  3. Download and install a program called Fetch from www.downloads.com.
  4. Open Fetch and fill in the information as follows:
    Host: ftp.offsetatlanta.com
    User ID: customera
    Password: customera
    Directory: keep blank until assigned
  5. Press Put File. Then find your compressed file and press open. For format, select Raw Data if your files are compressed. Select MacBinary II if your files are NOT compressed.
  6. Fax lasers of the job to your salesperson or customer service rep.
  7. A verbal or email notification must be made to your salesperson or customer service rep along with the FILE NAME so prepress knows there is a file waiting. They do not check the FTP site unless they know a file was sent.

PC

  1. You must be online to FTP a file.
  2. Compress the files to be transmitted (Offset Atlanta recommends using WinZip, which can be downloaded free from www.downloads.com or www.winzip.com ). If you’re sending multiple files, compress into one file.
  3. If you don’t have an FTP application for your PC, please contact us and we will supply you with a suitable FTP application as well as walk you through the setup.
  4. Fax lasers of the job to your salesperson or customer service rep.
  5. A verbal or email notification must be made to your salesperson or customer service rep along with FILE NAME so prepress knows there is a file waiting. They do not check the FTP site unless they know a file was sent.
